New Odroid-XU4 user

Post by Lima1-1 » Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:28 am

Hello, just received my XU-4, I ordered it with the 8GB eMMc flash with Android already installed, the problem is, it doesn't boot up, the blue and red lights are solid indicating there is power and reading the flash, I feel the flash card maybe blank, I do not have an eMMc card holder to download a new image,

Can anyone help?

Kind regards

Buying an eMMc to usb adapter or a sdcard are the best options.

Make sure the boot switch is in the emmc position.

Yes, eMMc is in the eMMc position, does it require an sd card to boot up?

It should boot to android.
Well, here's what you can try. Flash a linux image for xu4 on a spare sd card, flip the boot switch to sd, boot with both emmc and sd attached, and run sudo fdisk -l once booted to linux. Show us the output so we can see what's going on.
