New HC1 owner

Unread post by rgmhtt » Fri Dec 07, 2018 7:42 am

Greetings from the Greater Detroit, Michigan area. Cold with Flurries.

I am a long time Cubietech owner (Cubie 2 and truck) that are used for my servers. See my work at:

www.htt-consult.com

I am also a long time Centos/Fedora user and tester. I have been active on the arm work of both since they started (I ran Fedora 18 on a Cubieboard2).

But Cubietech has not come up with a board that suits my developing needs and a number of people on both the Fedora-arm and Centos-arm mailing lists have been working with the Odroids. I decided to give the HC1 a try.

Getting Fedora 29 armhfp image installed was really easy thanks to the work of

https://blog.christophersmart.com/2018/ ... nas-armv7/

For Centos I am waiting on a fix on a test image...

But I will post this directly to the appropriate sub-forum.

There are a couple of items I do not like about the HC1, particularly around the UART design, and I will post my comments again on an appropriate forum.

So look my up on the HC1 forum.
