I'm just curious if there is a way for me to build my own mini projector which will work with smartphones?

Any suggestions or article that might help please share here. Thanks!!!

Do you mean hooking up an odroid to a tv/display and sending content from the phone?
It depends on the content, I think. You could run Kodi and share media from the phone with "Play to Kodi" via the Kore app.
You could probably set it up as a dlna renderer (though kodi offers acceleration).
But to cast the whole screen or a browser tab - I don't know. I'd like to find out though. I'd like to extend my linux desktop to an odroid, as a second screen. I experimented with it, but had low performance, so I need to play with it more...

Cool, it seems that we almost have the same concept in mind.

Yep, that's my idea I want to experiment and try to create my own mini projector it seems cool to have one. I guess I have to research on this.

Let me know if you have more ideas in mind.
What you've shared to me is really useful at least it gave an idea.

I'll post a new thread with my experiments and code. It kind of works, but with too low performance. I have an idea on how to increase performance, but haven't had time to experiment with it. I'll link the thread here.

Though it won't be exactly what you want... :)
It's a convoluted/rude-golberg machine that almost does something useful :D

Hmm, this should turn an Odroid running Android into a chromecast: https://www.addictivetips.com/windows-t ... -receiver/
I need to try it when I'll be dual-booting my N2. But I'm still looking for a linux chromecast renderer implementation...

Hmm, it's actually a chrome extension - so it should work from linux. Need to see what performance is like, though video playback may be spotty without video acceleration on the n2...

Let's see what will be the results I'm also looking for a mount for this project and then I saw this topic https://www.adorama.com/alc/tether-tool ... ing-system

Do you have suggestions?

I gave it a try, but couldn't make it work. I can't make it discoverable without a Google for Education account. No idea how to get one (for free) :)
It should work pretty nicely though as a screen/tab mirror: https://youtu.be/6ioVZoq-dXY

So, I researched some more and I have two solutions to converting an Odroid running linux into a mirrored screen. Both methods are not very suitable for video/game content, but should be fine on a lan:
1. If you want to mirror your (generic) android device screen you can use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... reenstream and a browser tab for playback on the odroid. Data comes as a MJPEG stream (fast, but high volume)
2. You can stream your linux desktop over the network with ffmpeg and have it played back on the odroid. Notes and details for performance in this post: https://dennismungai.wordpress.com/2018 ... nd-netcat/. Coupled with c2play for C1/2/N2 it would be a decent player (I plan on testing).

Looking forward for better options...
