personally I was using the Odroid as a development platform, resembling closely what is in a mass market smartphone (the S5 in case of the XU3 for example, I also have an Usomething around) but easier accesibility for e.g debugging, network, ... .
There have been quite some improvements by Samsung in the recent years, we are now at least four generations past the Exynos 5422. Now my main XU3 died as the fan stopped working and with it the XU3 :(

I was just wondering whether

a) hardkernel could imagine a new board in the foreseeable future based on the most recent flagship Samsung SoC
b) what this improves upon the XU3
c) how e.g. the Exynos 9810 would compare to the Rockchip SoC planned for the new N1

For me actually an extremely low price point wouldn‘t be that important, but rather to e.g. have something representative for an S9 with all its pros and cons to help in software development.

We couldn't use the Exynos 9 series to make a new SBC because a few reasons.
- There is no HDMI port.
- Too expensive.
- Weaker Linux platform support.
