RISC-V world fastest 64bit core

Post by Mullcom »

Hi !

I finding a artikel about RISC-V cpu/architecture

Quote
-EE Times a demo of the core running on an Odroid board, achieving 4.327GHz at 0.8V and 5.19GHz at 1.1 V.

Are you under developer a new board with open source hardware?

Exactly!

This is intressent a lot. Going to be fun to test something new and see how good this is. wonder if Odroid is involved or dissident know that they are using there own bord for testing cpu.

As I posted on Off Topic Banter thread, it looks really weird. We have no idea at all.

What i understand . They only use your bord as a base for there own CPU.

Right now we not even know this artikel is true at all. But it is i consider you should try contact them to get a hint what's going on.
This can lead a greate publicity for the brand. Also get a leep in the tutuer to sell open source hardware =D

I just came to post this, I was slow on the draw I see.

I would love more information about how the XU4 used as a carrier is interfacing with the RISC-V.

I was amused that they had the engineering resources to create a prototype chip, but they only had a 1990s flip phone camera to take the grainy picture of it.

I wonder what type of VPU this will be using.

idono but it looks potentially capable;
Video Processing

• Video Decoder/Encoder(H264/H265) up to 1 channel 4K@60FPS or 8 channel 1080p@30FPS
• Dual channels of ISP, each channel support up to 4K@30FPS
• 2 x MIPI-CSI, 1 x MIPI-DSI
• 1 x HDMI support up to 1080P@30FPS
• Support MIPI-CSI TX for video output after ISP and AI processing
• JPEG Encoder/Decoder

It is a bit weird it can decode 4K but not output 1080@60, if the VPU has no closed source blobs it will be the first I know of.
