Energy information needed!

Unread post by EddieOD88 » Sun Apr 15, 2018 9:01 pm

Hi,

I am about to embark on a Master's project in energy-aware programming for mobile applications and need to obtain energy readings from an Android developer board. I know the ODROID-XU+E was discontinued a few years ago, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some other options of boards which provide energy readings.

Thanks,

Eddie

XU3 has energy sensors, but not sure if they are available in Android. Otherwise a SmartPower2 can give you overall power readings of any board with 1s resolution.

Put out a call to purchase an XU3, perhaps a forum member will answer.

I have an XU3 lite but it doesn't have the energy monitoring hardware.

Reach out to ameridroid, maybe you will get lucky:

Thanks for the quick replies. So does the XU3's successor, the XU4, not have energy measurement capabilities?

It doesn't, none of the current odroid devices do.

But the XU3 is still a relevant device with modern kernel (4.y.y) if you can get your hands on one.
