Solution: You need to replace the default font, arial.ttf, with one that supports a wider set of characters. The font that I fond that worked great was "DejaVuSans DroidSansFallback", this font is a merge of two fonts DejaVuSans and DroidSans which provides near full unicode coverage. Download the font from the link below and follow these steps
Code: Select all
$ cd /usr/share/kodi/media/Fonts $ sudo mv arial.ttf arial.ttf.old $ sudo <pathToNewFont>/DejaVuSansDroidSansFallback.ttf arial.ttf

ODROID Form fix : http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f ... an#p153819
Side Notes I tried the solution other solution in the ODROID forum, however the font that is used in that fix is not part of the default Ubuntu install on the C1 or C2. I thought I would place this here seeing as this is an international form I figured someone else will face this same problem.
