Hello,
I have the original ODROID-A and it is running the Android software that it originally shipped with it.
I would like to use the tablet with a USB to Ethernet adapter (http://www.bobjgear.com/usb20-to-rj45-a ... apter.html).
Can someone answer the following questions.
Q: How can I update the operating system...I believe it is running 2.3.3 and the adapter in the link above needs Android 3.2 as a minimum?
Q: If I can successfully update the OS can someone show me how to confirm that when I plug the ethernet into a router that I receive an IP Address?
Q: How can I do a Telnet session with the router I am plugged into... is there an App that I can download that would make a telnet session and possibly allow a serious of command line arguments or do I need to shell and do a script?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Original ODROID-A needs to support ethernet
What chipset is included in the Ethernet adapter?
If you enable the chipset driver in the kernel, you can use it without update the OS.
You need to check whether the chipset device driver exists or not in the Kernel source tree.
The latest Android version on ODROID-A was 4.0.4.
Refer this link. There are full BSP source code as well as prebuilt image.

Frankly speaking, ODROID-A was launched in early 2011 and retired in 2012 March or April.
So it is very hard to support the old model. Sorry about that.

Thanks.
Also I do realize the product is old but it is the only thing I have handy right now and I need just to do a proof of concept.
