Thank you for prompt reply.

1. for Q2, What is the relationship between emmc_installer_for_odroidq2.img file and sd2emmc_installer.img file ? should the two files be used ?
2. in addition to version, what is the deference between BSP codes (uboot,kernel,android) from https://github.com/hardkernel/ and BSP codes (uboot,kernel,android) from http://dn.odroid.com/4412/Android/4.1.2 ... -2014/BSP/? can they be used to the Q2 board?
3. if we have modified the source code such as kernel and uboot, can we flash the kernel image file directly? or do we need to make these image files into a image file such as emmc_installer_for_odroidq2.img?
4. how to make BSP image files into a final image file?

1. Just use the sd2emmc_installer. The emmc_installer doesn't support the recovery of boot loader.
2. Github has the latest version always. If you don't like the gitgub, just use the older compressed BSP.
3. Refer below links for the flashing. We are using the fastboot protocol for the flashing.
http://odroid.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id= ... exynos4412
http://com.odroid.com/sigong/nf_file_bo ... php?bid=98
4. Remove the eMMC module from the board and readback/save the raw data file on your PC.

You have to be in fastboot mode on the bootloader (type fastboot on the bootloader) as well on your PC.

step on PC:
1) adb reboot-loader =====>enter fastboot mode (OK!)
2) fastboot devices ====>null
3) fastboot reboot =====>no response
4) fastboot reboot-bootloader =====>no response

step on bootloader:
5) Exynos4412 # fastboot ==or fastboot devices
ptn 0 name='fwbl1' start=0x1 len=N/A (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 1 name='bl2' start=N/A len=N/A (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 2 name='bootloader' start=N/A len=N/A (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 3 name='tzsw' start=N/A len=N/A (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 4 name='kernel' start=N/A len=N/A (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 5 name='ramdisk' start=N/A len=0x0(~16777216KB) (use hard-coded info. (cmd: movi))
ptn 6 name='system' start=0x1 len=0x0(~1073741824KB)
ptn 7 name='userdata' start=0x1 len=0x0(~-2147483648KB)
ptn 8 name='cache' start=0x1 len=0x0(~134217728KB)
ptn 9 name='fat' start=0x1 len=0x0(~-616562688KB)
OTG cable Connected! ===(wait)

meanwhile, pop up the interface which need the new hardware driver on PC (windows),but adb drviver(odroid_xp_composite_driver) is unavailable.

in summary, if step is error, give the correct steps please.
thanks!

Did you install ADB driver and FASTBOOT driver on your Windows PC correctly?
Refer below link for the ADB & FASTBOOT drivers.

How about the FASTBOOT driver? FASTBOOT driver is different from the ADB driver.
That fastboot driver is descrbied in the 2nd comment of the ADB driver link.

You can find an instruction to copy an OS image to eMMC from SD card in this link.
http://com.odroid.com/sigong/nf_file_bo ... Q2&bid=185
It will recover the boot loader in the eMMC.

hello,odroid team,
I'm debuging the Q2 using the codeviser hardware JTAG ICE(CVD Ver 3.30) in Korea, but the ICE need the CPU and hardware parameter, the servial problem :
1. Have you the JTAG ICE init file(or Similar file) for uboot ,linux or android debug?
2. What is CORE 0(1,2,3) BASE address ?
3. What is JTAG CLOCK?
thanks!

As far as we know, the Exynos needs a secure key to access the JTAG interface.
The security key should be generated by Samsung.

BTW, we never tried the JTAG interface with ODROID because of above limitation.

We have to debug the new bootloader/kernel on the board now, so we need to use jtag after closing the secure jtag.

Can you provide the script or key that close the jtag's security function?
thanks!

Frankly speaking, we don't know what/how Samsung made in their BL1 and TZSW binaries.
We don't know how to disable the trustzone feature at all because there is no document outside Samsung.

What is your target project?
What do you want to implement?
Why your OS has the bad dependancy to the TZ?

I have no idea either.
The datasheet seems to have only the L2_Status register description.
The L2-TLB might be a key to understand how L2 works.
But I have no knowlegde on that.
What do you want to do with the L2Cache unit direct access?

Just flash the big image file and remove other partitions and use only what you want (only u-boot?).

Conntect the SD card to your Linux PC and run Gparted to delete the partitions.

2. how to read(fatload) the file(what position) in the uboot mode?

add the problem:
3. if the board boot from the sd card, enter the fastboot mode in the uboot, type the "fastboot flash system xxx" on the pc, the system file is written to the sd card or the flash?
4. in the above problem,if system file is written to the sd card and the sd card has not partition,is the system file written to system partition successfully?

How did you copy the u-boot.bin?
You should flash the u-boot.bin with the fastboot command.

1. I download the boot.tar.gz, and flash the sd card with the sd_fusing.sh in the ubuntu,then the board can boot. but I can't see the partitions info on the sd card in windows or ubuntu, how to add the my kernel image and read(fatload mmc 1:1? address file)?
2. If modified the shell script (dd command) ,how to obtain the fatload mmc position(0:x?)
