It will happen eventually, but not any time soon. I have other things to do first and the C2 can't emulate everything anyway. Most emulators which require a dynamic recompiler won't work: N64,PSX,Sega32X,NDS and a few others don't work properly.mightymonte wrote:Any possibility that this will get a port to Odroid C2? Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Yep seen that video already, it's posted in the corresponding XU3/XU4 thread.
The ODROID X is not quite as fast as the XU4, but still it's a very similar experience, since the programs running this are all the same

Currently the server from @mdrjr is down, he has issues with his ISP provider, not sure if someone made a copy of this.
Once again: you are in the ODROID X forum here, not the ODROID XU3/XU4 forum, the images from this forum won't work on the XU3/XU4, please take the image from the ODROID XU3/XU4 forum!

Wow I did not read it good. That why it did not work in my XU4 I even did a wget on my server thinking it did not download right.meveric wrote: http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=7322
It's booting up now first time.
I did a:
Code: Select all
wget http://oph.mdrjr.net/meveric/images/OGST/ODROID-GameStation-Turbo-3.1~RC2-20150920-XU3-Jessie.img.xz
unxz ODROID-GameStation-Turbo-3.1~RC2-20150920-XU3-Jessie.img.xz
It does boot now. The rest I will post on the link you gave for my XU4. I got here from the video I seen the link on there so I though it was for the XU4 because the video was on the XU4.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Hi,
Don't mean to sound like a nag..
Just curious if this will flash emmc as I am a complete newb to this and may have missed the answer by overlooking it when it was first given..
The only reason I ask is because I uneducatedly didn't purchase the emmc card for SD card readers thinking I would install the module and just use SD cards to flash over.

This is an ODROID X forum, and not related to the ODROID XU3/XU4.
You might want to go to the XU3/XU4 forum to ask your question.
But no, none of the images i provide is a SD2eMMC image, but still you should be able to flash an eMMC if you boot from SD card.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Hello there and sorry to bother. I have an ODROID-X I decided to redeploy for the kids with your current IMG - ODROID-GameStation-Turbo-3.0-20150806-X-Jessie.img.xz. I also noticed the link to Debian Wheezy isn't available any longer otherwise I would have double checked off that..
Not having much luck I'm afraid - it stalls early in the boot phase although not completely frozen as the boot screen shows when devices are inserted and removed. I've attached my boot log for your reference.
Noted the included md5 for the IMG doesn't match the one generated by win32diskimager1.3 but for two identical downloads of the IMG I was able to generate the same md5 on both. Trust, but verify as they say
Thanks in advance mate.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Just entered this on boot via terminal-
- fsck /dev/mmcblkp02
....and after a reboot, everything seems good except for video. Adjusted the resolution and now everythings fine.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Sorry you had this trouble I'm not sure if the base image is damaged, it's been quite a while since I touched it as you can see
All updates have been done via apt-get so either the image is "damaged" quite a while already, or the win32diskimager is not working correctly (or you removed the SD/eMMC card before all data were written).
I'm glad though that you could fix the issue
The image is still supported, so don't worry I will help if I see you have some issues.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Thank you and very much appreciate you getting back to me. One issue still persists and its to do with updates - when issuing the command:
SUDO apt-get update (same with upgrade or dist-upgrade)
I receive a message - odroid is not in the sudoers file.
What would be your suggestion good sir?

use
I did this in the past to increase security so "kids" could not accidentally damage something with sudo <whatever> (separation between user and root)
But once you're root you can change this if you want with: that way odroid will be added to the sudoers list and after the next reboot you can use sudo apt-get update (or other sudo commands) with the user odroid as well.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
Got it! and thank you. Tried it out and had some success, however not without its problems.
I've attached a log file FYI - there seems to be problems with locating files and servers.
Thanks again.

Re: ODROID GameStation Turbo with XBMC
You have to do a apt-get update first to get the latest package lists.
It seems you try to update to an old "outdated" version, which is funny if you think about it "update" to "outdated"
Anyway, try using apt-get update first and then again apt-get upgrade and dist-upgrade.
OH, but I see something else, that might be an issue.. It's still using HTTP for oph.mdrjr.net which is now HTTPS and you might have to adapt this.
