Anyone else got this? Maybe I pressed them too hard. Now they function more like a toggle. I press the plus button once and slowly my volume just keeps rising unitl it hits max. Then I press the minus button and slowly the volume keeps lowering until it hits zero. Any workarounds people have would also be helpful.
Thanks!

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
My Volume Down button fell off completely. Re-soldering it is super-tricky, next to impossible. So, now I just use F3+Left for V-, F3+Right for V+ (on Retro Arena firmware).

@cman122887,
Open the cases carefully and gently to see which parts were damaged.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
I have had this problem too. I ordered my OGU on the inital launch. Mines does almost seems like it works like a toggle. I know this shouldn't be the case as I have the OGS and never had this problem. I've tried taking apart the unit several times and no such luck. I've tried using a dremel and made the ports bigger too. I've even sanded the rocker itself and sanded the side pegs on the rocker. I also thought that maybe the peg on the rocker is pushing down on button on the board and still no luck. When disassembled the rocker seems to work properly and there looks like ample clearance for both buttons. However, when I reassemble it, the rocker goes back being stuck.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
Yeah, exactly my experience.
I don't even know what to do with it: returning the unit is not really an option, since I did disassemble it, although it was because of the reboot bug, when you had to unplug the battery to make the unit functional, and you can't fix the buttons yourself.
And even buying a new unit is not exactly a solution, as it's way too pricey, and will probably be prone to the same issue...
Other buttons seem to be just fine, only volume buttons have this issue (so far, at least).
So, the only workaround is to use a buttons combo to control the volume, I'm afraid.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
I'm having this same issue, however is only with the clear white model, I recently buy two consoles, one gray and one clear. Gray works fine and have no issues with the buttons, but clear has same issue, I think this may be an issue with the clear mold.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
If the tact switch under the volume button was damaged, it seems to be worth to replace it if you can desolder/solder it.
The tact switch part number under the volume buttons and shoulder buttons is
Vendor: E-Switch
Part-number: TL3340AF160QG
It is available in Digikey, Element14 and Mouser.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
There is no issue with the switch, with console disarmed switches works well, the issue is when the console is closed and screwed, the case squeeze the button and does not allows to clearly press the switch.odroid wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 10:43 amIf the tact switch under the volume button was damaged, it seems to be worth to replace it if you can desolder/solder it.

I was able to solve the issue by sanding the upper side of the rocker like the following images:
Before: After: Hope this helps.

Re: Volume Buttons Stuck
Thanks for posting where to sand the volume buttons. It kinda worked for me; however but I ended up widening the sockets with a pin vise going more towards the top of the case and that seemed to work for me.
