How to save / load savestates in mupen64plus?

Post by rohezalzal »

How to save / load savestates in mupen64plus? Are the specific buttons or button combinations? Using mupen64plus from the default hk image in the /opt directory directly via a selfwritten service file.

Code: Select all

kill gdm
cd /opt/mupen
LD_PRELOAD_PATH
export screen_rotation_variable 3
mupen /path/to/rom
start gdm

In the reference image, the N64 emulator does not support save states.

Oh okay, thank you. @crash do you know a tutorial a tutorial how to build software with modified SDL libs for mali in framebuffer mode?

Is it just giving -L /path/mali/sdl_libs/lidsdl.so ? Or is there more to it? Which sdl libs should I use and where to get them? How does Portmaster handle this in Rocknix?

I do not know of anything like that.

Typically, there should not be a need to do this. Installing the library in /usr/local/lib will normally cause it to take precedence.

I have no information on this. The reference image uses the version provided by Ubuntu.

This question is better directed to their team.

Oh okay, I was to scared of direct framebuffer access to try it. Just read the N2 wiki and they had special SDL libs for Mali Framebuffer access, which I also downloaded for the odroid ultra go. I think I installed them via dpkg -i and they are working. Or they were just installed next to the actual some libs. But good to know, you can just use the system libs to build sdl software.

wget deb.odroid.in/sdl2.tar
