Dear All,
A quick question: I'm currently running the most recent 22.04 Ubuntu image from LinuxFactory on my C4 and would like to upgrade the default 5.15 kernel to the LTS 6.1 kernel. What would be the suggested upgrade approach? The reason that I ask is that the forums seem to be different directions for how-to update the kernel and its not clear what the most appropriate method is.
Thank you in advance,
Halocaridina

Kernel updating can be achieved by installing the package.
Then you will have two kernel packaged installed.
Code: Select all
sudo apt update
sudo apt install linux-image-6.1.0-odroid-arm64
sudo reboot

Re: Upgrading from kernel 5.15 -> 6.1
@tobetter,
Thank you for the quick response and information, they are greatly appreciated. I should have mentioned that the C4 is being run without a monitor or keyboard/mouse (i.e., access strictly by SSH), so selecting a specific kernel at start-up isn't an easy task. So what I'm looking to accomplish is to install the 6.1 kernel and make it the default that the C4 boots into union a reboot. Then, after a reboot, I would most likely uninstall the 5.15 kernel.
Thank you,
Halocaridina

The commands will do like what you said after ssh.halocaridina wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 5:26 am@tobetter,
