Hi.
My HC4 worked reliable for more than a year.
Yesterday i rebooted (by ssh) and now it won't boot.
Red LED: on
Blue LED: nothing
Orange LED at the LAN-Port: on
The HDD seems to work after i plug the AC in.
HDMI: No signal.
I put the sd-card in my linux-notebook and it is not corrupted and there is still empty space on the partitions.
I do not really remember what OS i installed but i think it was a debian.
I saw a big hardkenel-logo when i logged in by ssh.
On the /boot-partition there are 2 images:
- initrd.img-5.11.0-odroid-arm64
and
- initrd.img-5.14.0-odroid-arm64
Hope this is enough information.
What can i do?
Any ideas?

Can you flash this image to new SD card and boot from your ODROID-HC4, but keep pressing black button on the bottom of it when you plug in DC adapter. Then check if it boots and shows you something to HDMI display.

In the meantime i tried another fresh image (debian buster for c4/hc4) and this boots and the HDMI works!
So my beloved toaster seems to be still reliable, but it is an sd-card-issue?
Strange because my fedora detects the 3 partitions and i can browse and read the folders.
@tobetter:
Should i still try the linked image?
When i dd the content of the sd-card to another one, could this be a soulution?

If it boots, your ODROID-HC4 is fine and I believe you did use Petitboot if you have the SD card which have the files *-odroid-arm64 in the first partition. If you have installed the OS using Netboot Installer in Petitboot, the SD card would not have the boot loader, so you need to update/recover the Petitboot in SPI flash memory. So my suggestion is "Yes" please download the image and flash to new SD card, and boot from it. Then try to run commands in the command line of Petitboot.norrin wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 12:17 amIn the meantime i tried another fresh image (debian buster for c4/hc4) and this boots and the HDMI works!

That was it!
Update was successful and now the sd-card works again!
THANK YOU
BTW:
So i did "apt update/upgrade" something that could not work with the old petitboot?
Should i have read this in the update process?

apt is Debian/Ubuntu command, not for Petitboot.
