netboot installer entries don't show on Petitboot menu

exited to shell and typed
netboot_default
exit
but no additional entries for net install appear on petitboot.
tried pinging ppa.linuxfactory.or.kr from shell - DNS works fine (server is not pingable)
also tried Retrieve config from URL option and entered
http://ppa.linuxfactory.or.kr/installer ... oidhc4.cfg
which didn't work as well
new SD card is recognized and mounted in petitboot shell

Isn't the network problem if you are not able to download the configuration?
Are you able to try wget http://ppa.linuxfactory.or.kr/installer ... oidhc4.cfg if it's downloadable?

there's no network problem. i can access http://ppa.linuxfactory.or.kr/installer ... oidhc4.cfg from my laptop with no issue.

No meaning if you cannot access from your HC4.

This does not mean it is able to access the configuration, it just trys to download it.
Are you using the IP address 10.0.0.* in the same networking with your PC?
Are you able to run wget in the command line?
Did you update the Petitboot (v20220317) today or earlier?

yes, it's all in the same 10.0.0.* network
yes i can wget this address from the command line , from Debian 10 running on the HC4 with same IP address (it has static IP config. in DHCP)
i updated Petitboot over a week ago i think

Thanks...so the server is fine and HC4 can access the configuration, and I am also able to read the same command on my HC4 without failure, tested over 20 in a raw. What I am not sure is if HC4 can parse the configuration when downloaded in the network with 10.0.0.*.
Maybe you can try later again or downgrade the Petitboot.

If you do not remember the previous version, try these version, copy them as spiboot.img to SD card and reboot your HC4. Then update will start.

If you know the version, please try the one and test if Netboot Installer works or not.

i've just downgraded to 20220127 . tried again with exact same results . was able to wget to address above etc.
still no netboot entries in petitboot

I guess you need to try later or in a different network, somehow the configuration does not work in your network, I think.

It's preinstall Debian 11 and Petitboot will see it and boot from it.

so this image booted up fine, ran apt update which was also good.
then tried to install LXDE and at 62% it showed kernel panic while setting up ofono package ...and freeze
