hi voodik please could you enable the qmi_wann qualcomm settings so we can connect LTE modem this would be a great feature.
i have tried compiling 4.9 kernel to work with Quectel EC25 modem but continue to get ERROR or GCC COMMAND NOT FOUND.

The lot of features/fixes will come with next update, also qmi_wann and uqmi utility will be included.
But it will available in 1-2 weeks

Hi,

Trying to get Lineage 18 or 19 to work on my C4/VU7C with screen dimming working. Screen + touch is working nicely on 19 but can't get the dimming setup, any recommendations?

install went fine. VU7 immediately recognized without any config changes. Screen rotation to portrait 270 deg works fine.

But where the heck is the poweroff/shutdown option hidden ?

yes, exactly.

I found it. Drop down notification bar twice ... the button on the navigation bar, like in pie, is very convenient :-)

Hey Voodik,

implementation question.

I am working to control a output device via I2C. Works in pie, using the things implementation. viewtopic.php?t=37101
In your current build I get a runtime error right by getting an instance of Peripheralmanager

Code: Select all

PeripheralManager manager = PeripheralManager.getInstance();
I assume this is a "not-implemented-yet" issue ?

Thanks
Oskar

Hey Voodik,

mind bugging you?

I need to decide which ROM I am going to use.
For my project, I'll need Things, touchscreen, ideally WiFi direct. On the C4, latest pie release, I have things but no wifi direct. With your 19.1 ROM, I have WiFi direct but no Things ... :-(
Could you give a hint when your upcoming release with Things features might be released?

Thanks
Oskar

took me a moment to get the file onto the C4 - direct download on the C4 did not work, guess that is a g**gle safety feature - then manual update. No hickups

Things seems to work - at least the call to get peripheralmanager did not crash

Code: Select all

PeripheralManager manager = PeripheralManager.getInstance();
I'll need a few days for a bit more testing.

However .. THX !

Code: Select all

For Google apps please read this.
https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
Also after you register your Android framework ID, please wait some time (30-60 minutes) then reboot Odroid and try to add Google Account.
Seems like I cannot get that to work. I have registered the GFS ID, waited hours. Rebooted the C4. Nada - still the "isn't Ply Protect certified" msg. Cleared Play Service and Play Store cache and data .. rebooted. Still the same

Wipe your data, and try again. You can do it from recovery. When you clear all gsf data your gsf id is also regenerating, so you need register it again. So wape data, boot, connect to internet, open e.g play store to generate gsf id. Register it. Wait 20-30 mins, reboot, try to log in

tried and the same. However then I somehow realized that date/time was significantly off. So was time zone. Was set to "auto" resulted in GMT, Region USA. But I am in MST, Colorado, USA

Changed to manual and set correct time zone - now I was able to log into playstore. That work with all 3 C4's. One I had wiped via recovery, one a fresh selfinstall without the OTA update and the last one with the OTA update

Thanks

Do you keep updating lower versions of your Lineage ROM or not? I have been asking questions under 18.1 with no reply. If you don't offer support on lower versions, I'll upgrade right away.

At least try this test version.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H7aFIK ... _z5Vq/view

I implemented some hacks for Realtek Bluetooth module to make it more stable. (Odroid Settings> Misc> Realtek Bluetooth module fixes).
I just make some tests with JBL headphones and Logitech mouse. In my case headphones is BR/EDR and mouse is BLE.

I make more than 10 power off/power cuts/soft reboots etc on C4. in all cases and all conditions of 5B module the device boots and automatically connects to my Headphones.
And after some click or move the mouse is also re-connecting.

Old versions will updated but for now no ETA. I re base and cleanup all my sources, for now only 19.1 is ready, so i have lot of work to prepare older versions.

Thanks!

I applied this ROM over 18.1 but now, BT is not working. Was it ok to install this ROM right over 18.1? If not, I'll start over.

If I start over, do I flash 19 with Balena etcher and then update with this ROM ?

I have no experience with updating from lower versions. So try enable/disable bt from misc settings. Or wipe data from recovery.

Anything I can help with to troubleshoot?

I implemented some hacks for Realtek Bluetooth module to make it more stable. (Odroid Settings> Misc> Realtek Bluetooth module fixes).
I just make some tests with JBL headphones and Logitech mouse. In my case headphones is BR/EDR and mouse is BLE.
I've tried to use Bluetooth. 5BK module. Realtek fixes turned on. If I go to pairing, I am not seeing any device. For test I tried a PLT5200 headset (in pairing mode of course)
Anything I can help with to troubleshoot?

Oskar
Try another device, handsfree(hfp) devices are not suported at all.
Mind trying to run an app that uses both BLE and WiFi: Victron connect ( via play store). On the C4 it starts but goes to a blank black screen - seems to terminate. Running fine on my Note20/Android12

thanks-the confirmation and the screenshot actually helped.
It seems to be screen resolution incompatibility. I am using a VU7C which is hdmimode="1024x600p60hz" . With an "external" HDMI monitor, set to 720p.
Guess I am stuck

here is something "interesting"

I am trying to work with a C4 and VU5A. I can get it to display and the touchscreen works with a resolution hdmimode="1024x600p60hz".
Tried 480p, or just screen scaling in 1024x600

The screen output goes dark for about half a second every 1-2 seconds.

With the official pie, however ... it works as expected.

Cool, Thank You Profixit!

Another thing, Im using my HDMI TV as display and everythink is ok until i power-off and power-on my TV. After that, there is no signal from hdmi and Im forced to off/on odroid to get it working again. How to deal with that?
