Ambian Bullseye and HC4 fan

Post by beedaddy »

I'm not sure whether this is really an issue. Recently I've installed Armbian Bullseye on my HC4 and I'm really happy with it. The only thing is… The fan seems to be always off. The temp is always around 50°C so it shouldn't be a problem. Once it went up to 60°C (during some btrfs balance), but the fan was still off. Now I'm not sure whether the fan is supported on Armbian at all or if it's a hardware problem (broken fan?)…

Fan is supported on CURRENT kernel 5.10.y, but control scripts are not implemented yet. You need two things:

- install fancontrol

Code: Select all

sudo apt install fancontrol
- create file /etc/fancontrol with this content

Restart fancontrol service or reboot.
