First, ensure the volume is not muted. In EmulationStation, press the "IV" button at the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu. Then choose "SOUND SETTINGS" and ensure "SYSTEM VOLUME" is set to 100%.

If the issue still persists, connect headphones to the headphone jack and report if sound is heard. If it is not, ensure the volume is set to 100% while the headphones are connected. This procedure is intended to help isolate the issue.

Hi,

The volume sadly, is not muted at all. System Volume is now at 100% but still nothing comes out of speakers.
Sound via Headphone jack work.

If software is fine, a plug detection mechanical switch in the headphone jack could be broken.
In that case, you need to replace your board probably.
Please contact "odroid at hardkernel dot com" with a URL of this thread.
They will help your RMA process if you purchased the board from our web-store directly.
Otherwise, contact your local distributor/reseller.

I hope OS developers might add a configuration menu to manually switch the audio output path.

I think the long term solution is a sound test in uboot. I noticed there are already commits for this. Another possibility would be to replicate the uboot tests in linux with a diagnostic program.

The audio function test feature should exist in the new coming reference OS image which works with the old OGA series as well as the new OGS.
