n2 부팅문제

N2 CoreELEC 4g 제품입니다.

eMMC 64G 를 pc 리눅스에서 gparted 로 파티션 모두 지우고
FAT32 또는 EXT4 로 포맷 후에

우분투 18.04.3 MATE 이미지
ubuntu-18.04.3-4.9-mate-odroid-n2-20190812.img.xz
를 다운받아 압축해제하고

balenEtcher 로 라이팅하여 부팅하면
부팅이 안되고 아래 메시지를 출력합니다

SD카드에 CoreELEC, eMMC에 Mate 설치되어 있는 상태에서 부팅하신건가요?
첫 번째 로그로 봐서는 이미지 퓨징이 뭔가 잘못 된 것 같습니다.
eMMC에 OS퓨징할 시에는 따로 파티션 설정이나 포맷없이 Etcher로 바로 OS 퓨징 진행하시면 됩니다.

그리고, SPI의 Petitboot는 새로 업데이트를 해보시길 바랍니다. 아래 링크에서 Peitboot Recovery image 20190417을 다운 받은 후에 SD카드에 Etcher로 구운 후 부트설정 스위치를 'MMC'에 놓고 전원을 인가하면 SPI의 Petitboot가 이전 버전으로 업데이트 됩니다.

업데이트 후에 부트설정 스위치를 SPI에 놓고 Petitboot로 진입하는지 확인 한 후에, 아래 링크에서 받은 파일을 "spiboot.img"로 이름을 변경하여 SD카드에 저장한 후에 다시 Peitboot를 업그레이드 해보시기 바랍니다.

그러시다면, 하드커널 판매하시는 emmc 는 구입한 상태로만 사용해야 하고, 파티션 지우거나 포맷 이후에는 사용할 수 없는 건가요?

eMMC를 포맷하거나 다른 OS를 설치하거나 혹은 다른 용도로 사용하셔도 됩니다. 단지, Etcher등으로 OS를 새로 퓨징할 경우 eMMC에 남아 있는 기존의 파티션이나 포맷하지 않아도 된다는 의미입니다.

지금은 부팅 가능한가요?

현재 xu4 와 n2 를 사용중인데요
xu4에서는 나타나지 않았던 여러 문제가 n2 에서 발생합니다

1. 우분투 emmc를 처음 연결하면 해상도가 1360 x 768 만 나옵니다.
xrandr 하면
Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0:minimum 1360 x 768, current 1360 x 768, maximun 1360 x 768
default connected 1360 x 768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
1360 x 768 0.00*
이것만 나옵니다. xu4에 연결해 1920 x1080 60p등 다양한 해상도가 나온 모니터에 n2를 연결한 결과입니다.

2. 함께 구매한 usb-uart 케이블을 xu4 에 연결했을 땐 아무 문제 없었는데
이 케이블을 n2 에 연결하면 부팅후 몇초간은 글자가 정상이다가 부팅 완료 즈음에서 글자가 깨지기 시작하고
그 이후 회복되지 않고 먹통이 됩니다. (xu4에서 사용하던 putty 설정 그대로 사용합니다)

3. 위 2문제가 해결 안되어서 64G emmc 를 포맷하고 다시 우분투를 다운받아 라이팅했더니
첫 질문처럼 부팅이 되지 않습니다. 반복해 봐도 마찬가지입니다

4. 위 증상을 회복할 방법이 없어서 16G EMMC(XU4용 안드로이드4.4) 를 포맷하지 않은 채로
Ethcher로 우분투 14.04.4 MATE 를 라이팅했더니 위 1,2증상과 100% 똑같습니다.

5. 16G emmc (xu4용 우분투 18.04) 에 n2용 이미지를 라이팅해 봐도 위와 중상 동일합니다.

6. 안드로이드 sd카드로 spi로 부팅하면 첫 질문처럼 증상이 생깁니다
조치방법 알려주신 대로 Etcher로 라이팅하면 fail 나오면서
\\.\PhysicalDrive2 : Source and destination checksum do not match 가 나옵니다

문제가 동시에 여러가지가 발생해 갈피를 못잡겠습니다.

혹시 우분투가 설치된 eMMC의 첫번째 파티션에 있는 boot.ini에서 "setenv display_autodetect=true"를 setenv display_autodetect false로 변경하고, 그리고 setenv hdmimode 1080p60hz로 설정되어 있는지 확인한 후 다시 부팅해보시겠어요? 사용하시는 모니터 기종이 어떻게 되나요?
삼성 32인치 TV 입니다. 새로 구입한 16G EMMC 우분투에서 위 말씀대로 해 보니 부팅이 된 후 1920 X 2080 은 잡히는데 0Hz 만 잡힙니다.

하지만 근본 문제인, 맨 처음 배송받은 64G emmc 는 아직 부팅이 안됩니다.
EXT4 로 포맷하든, FAT32로 포맷하든 부팅하다 중간에 콘솔 모니터 글자가 깨지면서 부팅이 멈춥니다.
우분투는 오늘 다시 다운받은 최신 mate 버전입니다.

저는 꼭 64G EMMC를 써야 할 상황인데요. 이 EMMC는 그럼 사용 못하는 건가요? 구입해서 2번 라이팅 해보고 위 현상이 생겼는데 해결을 못하고 있습니다
해결 방법 좀 알려주세요

아래 최신 이미지를 받고, 압축을 풀지 않은 xz파일을 Etcher로 64GB eMMC에 기록해 보시길 바랍니다.

Etcher 로 OS 이미지를 기록한 뒤 "Flash Complete"라는 메시지가 보였나요?
파일 사이즈는 1.1GByte 정도가 맞나요?

eMMC 카드에 OS 이미지를 기록해드리는 것은 어렵지 않으나, 재기록할때 마다 왕복 배송비와 긴 시간을 부담하시는 것은 매우 바람직하지 않을것 같습니다.

물론 os 라이팅 후 Flash Complete 메시지 나오고 사이즈도 맞습니다.

다른 emmc 카드도 파티션 지우고 포맷을 하면 동일 현상입니다.

그렇다면 하드커널에서 구입한채로 emmc를 사용해야만 하는 것 아닌지요?
주의사항에 파티션 지우거나 포맷하지 말라고 매뉴얼에 표기해야 하는 것 아닌지요?
이 부분을 명확히 해 주시는게 좋겠네요

포맷을 하거나 파티션을 지워도 OS 이미지를 Etcher로 기록하면 정상 동작하여야 합니다.
지난 7~8년간 eMMC 모듈을 수십만개 출하하였으며 말씀하신 문제는 거의 발생한 적이 없습니다.
가능하시다면 다른 PC에서 기록을 해보시고, 그래도 동일한 문제가 발생한다면 카드를 보내주시면 점검해 보도록 하겠습니다.

또한 xz 파일을 7zip으로 압축을 풀고 Wind32DiskImager로 기록을 해보시길 바랍니다.
