Odroid N2 won`t boot, no SD, no USB, black screen
Hi
After a few weeks my N2 stop working.
Now Coreelec running on eMMC show splash screen ~ one second and then black screen and no display output.
Other images like Ubuntu on eMMC have no display output. All images on SD does not work.
If i switch to SPI mode. I see the pretiboot menu, but i can`t select anything. keyboard does not work.
Pwr red led always off. Never works.
Sys blue led blinks on running pretyboot or eMMC.
On pin1 - 3.3V
On pin2 - No power

Now I've seen that you lost 5V, and that's why usb isn't working anymore...
There are some threads around with the same problem. Here's the repair guide: https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-n2/hardware/repairs

It seems, but from that link the 3.3 V circuit is restored.
I lost 5V
Is there any ways to test the mosfets before replacing ?
There are no signs of damage.
I used N2 only as a mediaplayer, when it broke.
No uses gpio or other use cases. Only HDMI, Ethernet and power (original 12V/2A supply) was connected.

Can you measure the voltage at C158 as the attached picture?buzzzzer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 4:46 pmIt seems, but from that link the 3.3 V circuit is restored.

When did you purchase your ODROID-N2?
I think the +5V circuit is damaged for some reason and it affects uSD and USB host.
Could you please send an email to odroid at hardkernel dot com if you had purchased from Hardkernel or please contact your local distributor to check if you can proceed RMA.

Re: Odroid N2 won`t boot, no SD, no USB, black screen
if your still having issues its worth going into the schematics if you can maybe jump 5 volts from else where i am shore there are several regulators on the board.just browse for the specs on the chip if you can see it`s current limitations..it may also par to put a .2 volt junction power diode su your not back powering the circuit ,,the diode will make shore of that you could try a silicon diode that has an amp r two with a forward voltage spec drop of point two volts.if you also have the knowledge you could setup a fet instead from the main input rail if your using 12 volts then you could hook up a simple trim pot the bias the fet,,if none of this makes sense ask for help to explain my thoughts,,that is what i would do most likely..just make shore that you input the voltage past the faulty component...???...peace out phase...
edit:: generally the faulty component fails short or open....electronic general diag process,,,if the component is short remove ti and inject the 5 volts in the what would be the forward current path...!!!

I’m unlikely to succeed in doing this.phaseshifter wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 9:10 pmif your still having issues its worth going into the schematics if you can maybe jump 5 volts from else where i am shore there are several regulators on the board.just browse for the specs on the chip if you can see it`s current limitations..it may also par to put a .2 volt junction power diode su your not back powering the circuit ,,the diode will make shore of that you could try a silicon diode that has an amp r two with a forward voltage spec drop of point two volts.if you also have the knowledge you could setup a fet instead from the main input rail if your using 12 volts then you could hook up a simple trim pot the bias the fet,,if none of this makes sense ask for help to explain my thoughts,,that is what i would do most likely..just make shore that you input the voltage past the faulty component...???...peace out phase...
