Hello,
we bought a bunch of new Odroid N2+ (batch REV 0.6 20220517). But it seems that 2 of them are unable to boot from eMMC. We tried flashing the ubuntu-22.04-4.9-minimal-odroid-n2-20220622 image on an eMMC we bought from Hardkernel, as well as on a SanDiskUltra. The booting works from the SD card but not from the eMMC.
Next we tried the petitboot solution that was suggested in another forum entry. For that we loaded the SPI restore image to an SD card and booted. It boots but states: "invalid SPI Partition for Firmware" we still tried pb-update but the error message was the same.
Is there anything else we can do to get eMMC working on these? We really need the speed of the eMMC for our application.
Thanks a lot for any suggestions!!
Robert

Re: Unable to boot from eMMC
When you attach the eMMC (2 of them that does not boot) from ODROID, in Petitboot, what's the output of the command ls -l /dev/mmcblk0*?
Also are they able to boot with other eMMC?

Re: Unable to boot from eMMC
Which does mean that eMMC circuit on ODROID-N2Plus is somehow defected if the eMMC works on other boards. In such case, please send an email odroid at hardkernel dor com with the link of this thread so one can help you to proceed RMA.robert@greenhive.at wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 1:34 amIt says :Code: Select all
ls: /dev/mmcblk0*: No such file or directory
Before sending an email, would you mind to take a photo how eMMC is attached and the output of the command "ls /dev/mmcblk0*"?

Re: Unable to boot from eMMC
thanks for the advice.
By the way both odroids show the same output. Here the images.

I checked the chips under a lens but could not see any indication for a damaged chip.
