Hello everybody !
in other x86 boards I usually use "xrandr" for brightness management...
but on odroid n2+ it has no effect...
maybe it will be the "arm" platform not yet supported ??!!
does anyone know the "software way" to manage screen brightness ??
thank you all !
brightness management on odroid n2+ is possible ?

What's the kernel version running now? Please do share the output of "uname -a" .

xrandr
is a X display server utility.I'm guessing your system image uses Wayland instead of X, because no good X display drivers exist for this GPU.
So you'll have to find a wayland-compatible method to adjust screen brightness. I'm sure it's possible.

It does not look like the kernel from Hardkernel neither me. Would you let me know which OS is running with your ODROID-N2Plus?alex_biancograt wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 12:42 am@ tobetter...

@ tobetter...
sorry for my lack of accuracy !! now armbian 22.05.1 is running on my machine...
but I can also run the native os of hardkernel, for me it is not a problem...
I could adjust the brightness and gamma settings from the monitor as well but I am
interested in how the operating system works !
thank you again...

@alex_biancograt, I think the upstream kernel would not have the feature to manage the colours yet while Hardkernel's 4.9 kernel have. Please refer to the link for testing.
