Another incompatible memory module?
Memory: Veteke Performance RAM 8GB DDR4 2400MHZ PC4-19200 CL17 260-PIN SODIMM
URL: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1
Symptom:
Two blue and one red LED on solid.
Press reset button and the reset LED blinks, then comes back on solid.
Press on/off button for five seconds, it goes off for about one second, then comes back on.
POST never seems to happen.
Can anyone verify if this DIMM does or does not work?
Is there any way to tell from the listing in Amazon that it will not work (or, did I miss something?)

Re: Another incompatible memory module?
Nobody seems to test the Veteke memory yet.
Refer this wiki page and forum thread.

viewtopic.php?f=171&t=32941
If you have a working(compatible) memory and update the BIOS to 1.03. It will make your Veteke memory work with H2 probably.
You can find BIOS v1.03 in this link.

Re: Another incompatible memory module?
Just for information:
I've just received the H2 (Rev B).
I've installed a 4GB Crucial memory module CT4G4SFS824A (not listed in
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-h2/hardw ... am_modules )
and it works perfectly.

Re: Another incompatible memory module?
I confirm, on H2 (Rev B) the Crucial CT4G4SFS824A two 4GB modules - works fine
In WIKI see some inconsistencies (contradictions) - 16GB modules Crucial
you need to specify the model, Part No. in "Incompatible RAM Modules"

Re: Another incompatible memory module?
Interesting, you use 2666 memory but in Linux it appears as 2400 memory?fromport wrote: Here another working combination:

Would you mind to run an explicit memory test to see what are the results?
I'm asking because the HyperX 2666 2x16Gb in my testing were unstable and had rare bit faults (viewtopic.php?f=171&t=35995#p265073), but I only ran memtest and not Linux itself.

I'm trying to use the Odroid-H2 (Rev. B, Bios 1.05) with
HyperX HX426S15IB2K2/16 Impact DDR4 16GB (Kit 2x8GB), 2666 MHz CL15 SODIMM
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01N2V ... UTF8&psc=1
However, even with the latest BIOS (v1.05), the board does not boot
using this memory with two modules installed.
Symptom: Two blue and one red LED on solid.
But it works fine with one module installed on slot B.

@Jowi, Thank you for the report.
Other user reported "CMSX16GX4M2A2666C18" didn't work with H2 even with a single channel configuration.
He sent us two samples and we are trying to find a root cause now.
Once we find a solution, it may solve your issue too hopefully.
There are three items in the incompatible module list so far.

Re: Another incompatible memory module?
Based on my experience on 3 module types, all of them are DDR4 4GB, 2400MHz, installed in single slot:
- Kingston KVR24S17S8/4, 1Rx8
- Hynix 24S17S8/4, 2Rx8
- Hynix HMA851S6AFR6N, 1Rx16
Plus shop where I bought H2 board from, who used:
- V-Gen 4GB, 2400MHz, 1Rx16 (I'm not sure the model number).
All of 1Rx16 modules work fine in the board, but others made the same symptom.
So, I'm quite sure, 1Rx16 RAM modules, not counting the 2666Mhz, working more consistently on H2 board.
