Booting troubles with different disks

Post by Mirelius » Thu May 21, 2020 10:14 pm

I have 3 disks,one HDD(connected over SATA Port),one SSD(connected via USB) and one Flash memory(also over USB).
All 3 disks have the same OS Mageia 7.1.
I use only one of them at a time.
For installing the OS i use a USB drive.
Everything works fine on all 3 disks till the moment i change the disk.
For Example:
I take the HDD off and plug the SSD on.
SSD will not boot.
I take the HDD back and there is also no booting.
Its always the same with all 3 drives.
It doesnt matter which disk on which port,at the moment i put one other in
no one boots again.
I have to reinstall the OS and it works again.
No one of the 3 disks are shown at the Boot menu.
Any ideas?

See my answer in viewtopic.php?f=173&t=38802#post_content292220 . It is similar case like described in that thread.
