reading fan speed

Unread post by jaym » Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:22 am

I have found the H2's SoC temperature sensors at

Code: Select all

/sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
/sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone1/temp
Has anyone figured out how to read the fan speed?

FWIW, the Noctua 5v Fan (NF-A9 PWM) is very quiet. Mounted in the KKSB case, in a quiet room, I have yet to hear it at all.

There is a dedicated IC which controls the fan speed by reading the board temperature with its own temp sensor.
The controller IC is isolated from the system and it is accessible in the BIOS settings only.
