I'd like to know is it Ubuntu or Samsung issue?
As I can see X2 is using rtc under Android, so who is responsible for RTC under ubuntu?
Why do I need to buy a dongle having RTC on X2 board?

Android is syncing the RTC from internet.
Exynos-4412 RTC driver was not implemented in Linux kernel.

Is there any hope someone will implement it in the close future?

I know this is really old but someone was asking about RTC on the X2 and apparently it was eventually fixed.

Yes, I have switched to newer boards long time ago, but thanks anyway. Someone might be still interested in it.
