[SOLVED] memtest86+ on ODROID-H2/H2+

Post by roarking »

How do I run memtest86+ on ODROID-H2/H2+?

So far I tried booting from different USB media, e.g. Debian 10, Ubuntu 20.04.2 or grml. But without success. Where memtest86+ is offered in the Grub menu, it does not start when selected. I guess this has to do with H2/H2+ being a UEFI system.

Memtest86+ does not work in UEFI mode, as described here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/917961/ ... using-uefi

But MemTest86 works in UEFI mode:
https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

* Download MemTest86 Free (Version 9.0) 7.88 MB.
* Unzip and copy to USB stick:

Code: Select all

unzip memtest86-usb.zip
sudo dd if=memtest86-usb.img of=/dev/sdX
* Insert USB stick and boot
* On an ODROID-H2+ is looks like this:

Code: Select all
