Daily use (navigation, mail,...). I wonder I can even edit video!

As O.S.: Trisquel (100% free soft.)
And I am able to print very well and cheap with old Brother inkjet printers! Easy to refill, no problems with ink cartridges!!!
I use it with an e-ink 13'' DASUNG monitor with touchscreen (very good product and guys)..

Hello,

My three units (will order two more in the next couple of weeks) are being used with ovirt (kvm based virtualization).

I made a small blade rack of them.

NAS backup server and Download Master Station. Case Type 1 to hold 2 x 3TB HDD, Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2400 - CT2K4G4SFS824A (I have confirmed working), Kingston A1000 M.2. Ubuntu 19.04, Samba, Aria2c + WebUI-Aria2, youtube-dl. Power efficiency benefits: Netwatch script to suspend when network idle, WoL to wake when required (Tested and working).

I am truly thankful to Hardkernel for this machine. A small PC case that can hold 2 mechanical HDD. Energy efficiency is also important for everybody.

Goodies purchased at Ameridroid and Amazon. Forward shipped to Kenya Africa by Savostore.

Seems you didn't peel off the thin plastic cover on the panels, which make it look dirty, but once peeled off, it will be very shiny.

Had to rethink that plan. The realtek drivers in pfsense (FreeBSD) just weren't working right. Ended up losing the network connection about once a day and couldn't reestablish it without a reboot. I've since repurposed the H2 to be an overpowered pi-Hole box running CentOS. It's been running quite nicely in that role.

Got it up and running pfsense in a type 1 case with a couple of 500G spinny disks that I had handy. So far it's working very nicely in that role.+

Did you already find a solution ? planning to buy a Odroid-H2 and install pfSense on it.

PfSense 2.4.4 seems to be working fine on the H2.

Hi all I'm newbie
I recently bought an Odroid H2 and 32GB of RAM.
I want to install some hypervisor.
I installed proxmox 6 without any problems.
Now I want to try CitrixHypervisor-8.0.0-install-cd.iso.
Since I don't own an external CD/DVD drive, I made a bootable USB (with rufus version 3.6).
I tried to boot from my old PC first

Code: Select all

MB Gigabyte GA-P35- DS3
model name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5460 @ 3.16GHz
It works.

Now I want to boot in Odroid H2, but this doesn't work anymore.
Do you need to make any special changes to the BIOS?
Thankyou

The iso needs to be uefi-enabled, and not bios-only

Normally this is something the iso creator took care of... Creating an iso that supports uefi is difficult without having inside knowledge

Does this mean that I cannot install CitrixHypervisor on Odroid h2?

Think I'm going to use my H2 to play around with ZFS in Ubuntu 20.04. I've got old SATA drives sitting around, one a 128GB SSD and other a 512GB spinning platter HDD, so would be interesting to see how ZFS handles them both being in the same pool. I already know it doesn't really do RAID0 but I'm not sure how it's going to balance the load and manage the space/capacity difference. I'm currently running Ubuntu 20.04 with ZFS on my old HP i7 laptop but because Ubuntu still doesn't work well with my new Asus Ryzen7 lappy I kind of still need the old one as my main production/work computer. The H2 should keep the hacker in me happy until 20.04.2 comes out -- I think that'll be the one with the HWE kernel from 20.10... hopefully it'll work better with my AMD CPU.

Changed my use-case (gotta love jargon) to a coffee table PC so I went as cheap as possible. 4 GB seems like plenty of RAM for surfing the Interwebzes and downloading and stuff like that. And I scavenged WiFi b/g/n and BT 4.0 USB 2.0 dongles from my Raspberry Pi 2 so I know they're plug-and-play with Linux. SATA HDD came from an Acer laptop that Ubuntu bricked with an SPI flash "update". My current laptop has an Intel 660P 512GB NVMe M.2 that I was thinking of upgrading to a new 1TB so will likely scavenge that in the future too. Total cost wth Ameridroid's mark-up and shipping $233. ๐Ÿ˜€
