Missing needed modules for docker

Unread post by jit » Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:34 am

Hello,

I was trying to run docker, with the initial 4.4.112 kernel, but iptables , bridge and br_netfilter are missing module to make it runs.
As I'm not able to compile the kernel (archlinuxarm / gcc 8...), can I fing a compiled version somewere with the module I miss ?

ok ok , lazy me... ;)
I downloaded libarotoochain for x86_64 and cross compiled the 4.4.114.
I added the following modules for docker :
- ipv4 connection traking support
- all iptables option
- bridge
- nf_nat

It could be interesting to add theses modules for docker to work in the official kernel, as with 4 Gb and 8 cores, the N1 could be a wonderfull docker swarm node and/or master !

Why not compile on the N1?

I'm using archlinux, so gcc8... kernel 4.4 as known incompatibilities with gcc8. Patches exist, but they have not been merged into N1's kernel sources.

... and I could add "posix mqueue" as module too, it is needed for docker registry ;)

Thank you @umiddelb. In the meantime, I cross-compiled one by myself :)
But I'm sure that your version will be useful !
