iv lost the launcher to launch programs ....

the desktop is still there ...

the launcher is gone .. was on auto hide but now i cant change anything .....

i can right click on the desktop and launch a terminal

that bar with the power and time and program menu is gone

I think the file system in your Mate is corrupted and it faults to access such files.

One way you could try is to run fsck.ext4 for your Mate memory card in another Linux box.

I tried copying a user file from another Mate istall and that worked .....

my launcher is back now
