              New packages available via web gui:
              • linux-dtb-current-odroidxu4 (20.08.4) - Linux DTB, version 5.4.65-odroidxu4
              • linux-image-current-odroidxu4 (20.08.4) - Linux kernel, version 5.4.65-odroidxu4
              • linux-headers-current-odroidxu4 (20.08.4) - Linux kernel headers for 5.4.65-odroidxu4 on armhf

              p.s.: If you upgraded the kernel earlier it could be that you get the kernel from the official repository, this kernel is configured for use with panfrost which my image does not support and the LCD is not activated by default inside the boot.ini file, so if you lost LCD and Kodi then you should upgrade immediately, sorry for that, best is to update the kernel only if you find a post about a kernel update here ;)

                                          New Kernel 5.4.72 packages are available via web gui:

                                          • linux-headers-current-odroidxu4 (20.08.14-2) - Linux kernel headers for 5.4.72-odroidxu4 on armhf

                                          New improvements over 5.4.70:

                                                Hi.

                                                First, thank for this project I use on my XU4Q + CloudShell2.
                                                I upgraded my OS with `apt update && apt upgrade`
                                                Now, I'm on: Armbian 20.08.14 Buster with Linux 5.4.72-odroidxu4

                                                About Kodi, I've on error log:
                                                See if you have a /dev/mali0 device, if not you are using the wrong kernel, please only update from within the web-interface

                                                Also interesting would be what apt policy linux-image-current-odroidxu4 tells you, please post it here

                                                edit: No I don't believe you are using the wrong kernel, sometimes when you turn off your TV or you un-plug the HDMI cable Kodi crashes on exit, it's not beautiful but it does not harm the system ;)

                                                RG

                                                  That is my mistake, please run apt install nas-setup=1.0.0-2 command, the repository priority was wrong ! After that update your packages from within the Web GUI

                                                    apt update

                                                    You can also re-download and re-install the whole image if you wish, I have fixed that error there as well

                                                    OK, I "restart" my CS2 with the new image.

                                                    Code: Select all

                                                    $ sha256sum -c Armbian_20.05.2_Odroidxu4_buster_current_5.4.41.sha256
                                                    Armbian_20.05.2_Odroidxu4_buster_current_5.4.41.img.xz: Réussi

                                                    $ unxz Armbian_20.05.2_Odroidxu4_buster_current_5.4.41.img.xz

                                                    Flashing with balenaEtcher is OK!

                                                    As, I see on these images:
                                                    Image

                                                    Image

                                                    OK, so good…

                                                    but, when I attempt to connect on, by SSH:

                                                    Code: Select all

                                                    $ ssh root@192.168.47.193

                                                    Terrible?

                                                      Thanks for the pictures :) Do you have a debug cable https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/usb-uart-module-kit/ ? It seems that something is wrong with the update, I will double check, are you sure you are using this image ? SHA256: 78D33E5F6260098977794A743984D0A90E3E1523DA1960DCB3AEB265C9D73A6E

                                                          Well I am doing a fresh install now but looking at the logs from your update, everything should be fine, you should now have installed 20.08.14-2 aka 5.4.72 Kernel, you should have a /dev/mali0 device and everything working, I had an bug with a new package, the apt preferences priority was wrong but that was the first error since I have released this image, it runs very smooth from the reports of others ! Anyway flashing is complete, booting from new SD now

                                                            Ah ok, it could be u-boot is too old on your eMMC !! Please try to flash on an SD card too if you have any and boot from this ! That could explain some strange errors !

                                                            I'm really sorry for you, and to be only "the one" case, but I only do the bare minimum:

                                                            - dl the img
                                                            - check the img: Validated
                                                            - flash with balenaEtcher on my eMMC (one 32 Gb, v0.5)
                                                            - and start on, with TV plugged on HDMI, and ethernet relied, and keyboard, mouse on USB with a little switch USB.

                                                            With this new image:
                                                            - I cant connect on SSH. Authlog informs:
                                                            Oct 24 20:15:01 omv CRON[11344]: pam_unix(cron:account): expired password for user root (root enforced)
                                                            Why?

                                                            As you can see on this capture:

                                                              This night, I've flash both SDCard, one with Android image, and the second with your image.

                                                              First, I reboot with the Android image, and the "resurrection" alive here! Oufff, my XU4Q alive :D
                                                              After, I boot with your image, and it seems OK. And, now, I've Kodi displayed on my TV.

                                                              Can I upgrade by WebUI, without issues?!

                                                                  • Matrix is not a png, Matrix is a cool screensaver inside Kodi, you have to turn it on inside the addon settings of Kodi, after that you can test it
                                                                  • Kodi is started/stopped by either plug/unplug the HDMI cable, or turn on/off the TV
