Error compiling kernel 4.14.127: "sha512_block_data_order" undefined!

Unread post by rsevero » Tue Jul 09, 2019 11:47 pm

I'm trying to compile the 4.14.127 kernel for my XU4 as I need the USP/IP related modules and, unfortunately, the regular kernel compilation (4.14.127) doesn't provide them.

I'm getting an error about "sha512_block_data_order" not being defined as you can see it here:

Code: Select all

# make
  CHK include/config/kernel.release
  CHK include/generated/uapi/linux/version.h

  CHK include/generated/timeconst.h
  CHK include/generated/asm-offsets.h
  CALL scripts/checksyscalls.sh
  CHK scripts/mod/devicetable-offsets.h
  CHK include/generated/compile.h
  CHK kernel/config_data.h

How can I fix this issue to finish this kernel compilation?

Can you please share your .config ? maybe usbip depends on sha512 stuff that is being built as module or something like it.
