does the l.c.d come with the r.t.c module
you use your existing r.t.c module..to take residence to the rear of the l.c.d screen ..

No. The RTC shield is not included.

Yes, we need to place the same RTC shield on the bottom side of LCD Shield PCB.

Re: screen and rtc for C-2 board

Unread post by phaseshifter » Fri Oct 28, 2016 11:44 am

For all other boards that have on-board r.t.c
this post does not apply and you dont need the r.t.c module fitted to the l.c.d shield

so there fore the r.t.c procedure is as stands..nothing changed there..for the C-2 board.

if you all ready have the r.t.c installed and configured all you need do is relocate the module

if your starting from scratch.ie a fresh start setup ...
.you need to follow the instructions and setup procedures as per the wiki pages
if you are freshly installing the r.t.c module

Could I use a extension cable so I don’t have to stack it.

If the cable length is shorter than 20cm, it should be fine.

It would be a gpio extension, it wouldn’t be long at all

Look for dupont 2.5 female-female cable. HardKernel does not sell them, but you could use the cable that comes with the boom bonnet with some hacking
