EGL_EXT_image_dma_buf_import

Post by peak3d »

@mdrjr are there any plans to provide libMali for odroid-C2 with dma buf support?
I'm currently implementing video playback in kodi, but we need the 32 bit lib for netflix / amazon because libwidevine is only available in 32 bit.

I'm not sure whether we can build a 32bit version or not.
Has the LibreELEC full 32bit userland software on 64bit Kernel?

Yes, the important LE ARM builds from @raybuntu and @kszaq / @adamg are all 32-bit userland.
We all would love to switch to 64, but until now there is no ChromeBook with 64-bit chrome (from what we pull the libwidevine shared lib).

Edit: thx for the link above, I already picked the 64-bit version from mdrjr's git repo, he updated end of last year to dma, but only 64-bit version.

Development in kodi is ready to go:

I would really be interested to know how performance behaves with the combination libwidevine / libMali 32Bit.
64-bit is quite fine.

We still have a problem of building the DDK in 32bit mode since ARM doesn't support 32bit platforms well. :(

Found a wayland driver in ARM buildroot (r7p0) which has FBDEV / dma support and works for odroid-C2

Good to hear you found a solution.
I hope there is a way to play Netflix 4K videos on C2.
