How come HEVC (x265) doesn't work anymore since OpenElec? It worked like a charm before the switch to libreelec...

Maybe hardware decode isn't working.mickefromhell wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:48 pmHow come HEVC (x265) doesn't work anymore since OpenElec? It worked like a charm before the switch to libreelec...

That´s exactly the problem. But why? And is there a way to get it working. The HEVC-HW-decode is one of the big things with the C1...alpe wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:52 pmMaybe hardware decode isn't working.mickefromhell wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:48 pmHow come HEVC (x265) doesn't work anymore since OpenElec? You are probably trying to hardware decode 10bit HEVC which the S805 chipset in the C1 cannot do.
I can H/W decode 8bit only.
See post #1 of this thread.

Hi @wrxtasy, thank you for the new release! I tried to install using balena-etcher, installation seems fine but automatic resize doesn't work: I got an error in filesystem after system rebooting, LibreElec tried to fix it but It doesn't work. Now I've a /storage partition that Is unusable. Can I try ti resize It via GParted?

HW decoding doesn't work on iptv, right? Black screen on every channel with it on. Even on 480p channels.
Same problem on Coreelec.
Android kodi works fine.
Odroid C1.

Hi, after booting the new img on my old C1 I can see the HK logo on my TV, also de Openelec logo but when kodi starts I have no image, I can hear the menu though. So I went into ssh and to my surprise there is no xrandr. Is there an alternative for this? How can I debug my issue? Thanks! for continuing supporting C1 !!!

Hi again!. I managed to activate ssh modifying boot.ini. I think the problem could be related to EDID issues, as i'm using a cable adapter from HDMI to microHDMI. Is it possible to disable EDID in boot.ini or in any other config file?fromen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 5:51 amHi, same here but additionally no default ssh active on tcp/22.
