I thought it was a Leia issue only. It's intended to run the first time automatically. It's a Bug.

@cirkator: You can see it in the debug log with video component specific logging. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presentation_timestamp
Some videos are broken and the PTS can jump to the past. Modern decoder can handle it without stutter but Amlogic can't.

@raybuntu, for the Odroid wifi adapters, I assume the bits your looking for are here?

I already have rt* firmware in my krypton and Leia branch. I guess it was not in the last krypton release but it should be fixed in Leia5.

If you want to build addons for my build you should use my source code. You need variables PROJECT=Odroid_C2 ARCH=arm.

Hi @Raybuntu

I'm trying to compile your Leia Branch and have a few more questions:
- do you really mean ARCH=arm and not ARCH=aarch64
- after following this I do not follow how to add for example moonlight to it.

Thank you

Yes ARCH=arm.
Not sure what you mean by "add moonlight", it's already there no need to add a package.

Thanks

I would like to build myself some software with some specific options like moonlight and hyperion.

Is this something that can be fixed by hardkernel with kernel updates? Do you know if they are working on fixing it?

I think only Amlogic can fix it. LibreELEC is not using HK's Kernel. We have more recent Amlogic kernels moving forward to use the recent Nougat kernel.

@raybuntu, tried new rb-krypton16, and wireless is now working again! Thanks for that. However now the Odroid IR remote isn't working, and it was working with 15.3. Is there other changes that I may have to do to fix that?

Thanks for all the time you put into this project!

Hi,

I just installed rb-krypton16.2 and the standard remote control is working after activation lirc. I just want to change some buttons so I can switch easily between the languages or subtitles while watching a movie. The keymap editor addon did not work for me.So wanted to edit the remote.conf in /etc/amremote by myself. But I did not get permission to change it. Below you can see the code in remote.conf. Is this the right way to change it?

key_begin
0xdc 116 ; KEY_POWER
0x88 113 ; KEY_MUTE
0x82 102 ; KEY_HOME
0xca 103 ; KEY_UP
0xd2 108 ; KEY_DOWN
0x99 105 ; KEY_LEFT
0xc1 106 ; KEY_RIGHT
0xce 28 ; KEY_ENTER
0x9a 1 ; KEY_ESC
0xc5 46 ; KEY_C
0x80 115 ; KEY_LANGUAGE (was KEY_VOLUMEUP)
0x81 114 ; KEY_SUBTITLE (was KEY_VOLUMEDOWN)
key_end

It would be nice if you could help me. Thank you in advance!

Ok lete help you. I'm guessing you are using Original Odroid Remote? First of all /etc/amremote is not what you change for lirc. In my builds you can use amremote too but you want /etc/lirc/lircd.conf.d/odroid-amremote.conf. Copy that file into /storage/.config/lircd.conf change it and reboot.

Hi Raybuntu,

thanks for your help. I copied the modified lircd.conf to the folder as you described and it works !

Thank you for your great work and the (odroid) libreelec releases ! Keep it up!

First off, Ray thanks for all your work with this!

Has anyone upgraded from a recent Krypton build to a Leia build?
Did most addons work or did you need to reinstall everything?

Thanks!

No need to reinstall everything. Sometimes you need to enable LE settings addon. I only had to reinstall inputstream.adaptive.

Thanks Ray. Upgrade went really well but Zomboided VPN add-on doesn't work with Leia just yet. I will mess with this some more on a non-Monday ;-)

No offense taken don't worry. Just telling what I read from Zomboided. He will probably support it once Leia hits beta.

any ideas what can cause it?

You need to initialize the class:
Try to run python interactively:
from random import Random as _Random

well I see no issues here:
Code: Select all
dagg@NCC-5001-D ~/workspace/ray-letv $ python -c "from random import Random as _Random"
dagg@NCC-5001-D ~/workspace/ray-letv $

Krypton branch.
I want to build it because I need support for my Mygica T230 DVB-T/T2/C usb dongle.

I've tried the prebuilt image but it fails to load the device, here is some dmesg:

You can try Kszaq's build to see if it's fixed there.

No idea what the max value is but I'm using these settings:
Code: Select all
<cache>
  <memorysize>239460608</memorysize>
  <buffermode>0</buffermode>
  <readfactor>60</readfactor>
</cache>

What do you mean by lost? EPG data empty?

Yes the epg data is empty.

Edit:
I also have a problem with this plugin catchuptvandmore (french TV Replay - addons kodi - videos). It works on Android (release official on playstore) but not on C2 libreelec - openvideostream error.

currently some pvr addons are broken because of an kodi pvr api change. I will prepare a bugfix krypton and then focus on leia again.

When I try to use the backup addon to restore my library in the leia build it doesn't work. It will restore my addons but not my movies or TV shows. Is there anyway to restore my library without having to re-scan it?

I never used that backup addon. It's probably not working with Leia yet. Just restore in krypton and then tar update to leia.

I've been testing LibreELEC-Odroid_C2.arm-9.0-rb-leia5 for a while. It works suprislingly well. I've even managed to run Netflix in 720p (1080p is too much for software decoding).
Even in 720p I've noticed strange "CPUX: shutdown" due to thermal conditions. Once a core is down it will never go up automatically :(
It is possible to get it UP manually

Code: Select all
echo '1' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/online

but it will be down in a few seconds. It seems that 85 degrees C shuts cores down..

Code: Select all

Ambient temp was 25 degrees.
So I've made a pro cooling solution :) :

12V fan with 5V power was very silent and caused temperature drop to 65 degrees. No more CPU shutdowns and Netflix playback (almost) perfectly fluent.

What cpu governor do you use?

performance, then on demand, then hotplug. Not much difference in terms of temperature.
Note that I had 85 degrees when playing 720p Netflix footage - SW decoder afaik..

On idle I had about 38-41 degrees

EDIT
I used conservative, not hot plug

Small annoyance. I have turned off the 'fanart as background' setting but when I reboot it gets turned back on. This is with the Leia 5 build.
