[SOLVED] sd-executor exit with status 1

Unread post by redrocket » Mon Sep 17, 2018 2:15 am

Hello.
I have a problem with my C2
Dig throught the forum but with no luck

A few days ago there was a power outage. After that the power came back and the C2 start working as normally - solid red with blinking blue.
Yesterday i try to ssh to it but all the time the connection timed out. I looked at the C2 and the red was solid and the blue was blinking.

After i connected it to a monoitor the following error came up and the who;le system froze

Code: Select all

systemd[189]: Failed to open serialization file: Read-only file system
systemd[1]: (sd-executor) failed with exit status 1
systemd[1]: Failed to fully start up daemon: Protocol error
[!!!!!!] Failed to start up manager, freezing.
systemd[1]: Freezing execution
After that everything stops, but the C2 shows solid red with blinking blue

So any advice is welcomed

Your filesystem is in RO mode, could you try following command to do filesystem check on reboot.

Code: Select all

sudo mount / -o remount,rw
sudo touch /forcefsck
sudo reboot
This will recheck the filesystem and fix some error.

Hmmm that's the thing i cannot get to the login screen nor i have any access to command to write the commands.
Is there a way to edit the boot section on the sd card in order to run those commands?

You need to check the filesystem of sdcard or emmc on other linux machine using following command.

Code: Select all

sudo fsck -fvy /dev/sdb2

Hello.
Thank you moon.linux for your directions
I have a success in fixing the card but maybe in a different way
When I open the boot.ini on one of the lines i had this

Code: Select all

setenv bootargs ".... ro ...."
So i changed the ro to rw and from then it went up and fixed everything

However I'm not sure this is the way (although it's fixed)

So if this is the way to fixed it thank you
