Howto: burn C2 + EMMC altogether

1.Take Odroid C2 with EMMC card attached
2.Take powerful USB charger

3.Take USB->Odroid power cable
Image
Connect all together and plug into power.
Viola!
Charger is ok - but other two are completely dead :cry:

The point is you should not use USB charger for booting Odroid.
And you should keep in mind that in case of something like power surge it will burn down to EMMC, not only odroid's power supply.

I think that's a fast charger that outputs more than 5V

Try other power supply.
I think your C2 is still alive probably because there is over-voltage protection circuit on the C2 board.
But, if you connected a HDMI monitor while C2 had 9volt source, HDMI reverse current could fry your C2 board.

This is exactly what happened. HDMI monitor was attached.
