Cannot boot red LED only

Unread postby pearsomark » Wed Sep 19, 2018 8:20 pm

Hello,

I recently bought a new C2 to add to my existing C2 Volumio. The new board only shows a red LED and does not boot using the same supply and sd card that works in my current C2.
UART output:
GXBB:BL1:08dafd:0a8993;FEAT:EDFC318C;POC:3;RCY:0;EMMC:800;NAND:81;SD:0;READ:0;CHK:F3;USB:8;LOOP:1;EMMC:800;NAND:81;SD:0;READ:0;CH
K:F3;USB:8;LOOP:2;EMMC:800;NAND:81;SD:0;READ:0;CHK:F3;USB:8;LOOP:3;EMMC:800;NAND:81;SD:0;READ:0;CHK:F3;USB:8;

I also tried an eMMC from my UX4 with the same result.

Is there anything else I can try?

Hi,
What you should do is to try another memory card or eMMC just in case if your C2 can boot, and check PSU if it supplys proper voltage. If the same output comes, according to the log, your ODROID does not fetch the boot loader from either SD card and eMMC.

Cannot boot red LED only

Last month my C2 board got in same behavior, red light only and it does not boot, I usually used it with eMMC and external power suply 5V2A through round pin DC input, OTG Power Jumper opened.

After crash I flashed OS on eMMC again, also tried 3 others microSD cards, power source was changed to a SAMSUNG 5V 2A (Galaxy Tab Pro) connected to USB OTG port (Jumper Closed) and in all tries I got similar results.

Power on plugged eMMC and no microSD
Code: Select all

Board ID = 8
set vcck to 1100 mv
set vddee to 1050 mv
CPU clk: 1536MHz
DDR channel setting: DDR0 Rank0+1 same

PS:
I have used a USB power meter and I got 5.2V 0.42A, that looks like ok while this is same I got in time it was working well, no external periferals, CPU idle of course.

Don't you have any other logs after DDR channel setting: DDR0 Rank0+1 same? If any, please share more logs...
