pi-top (Hub) & ODROID-C2

Unread postby Outcast » Fri Nov 24, 2017 3:55 pm

I recently got an ODROID-C2 and pi-top (version 1) and I am trying to get battery status and screen brightness adjustments to work. I am having problems to install package pt-hub (https://github.com/pi-top/Device-Management) which is needed for https://github.com/rricharz/pi-top-setup.

Appreciate if anyone can provide me with some pointers on this. Thanks!

I don't think they support 64bit OS.
You have to build their source code to make it work on Aarch64 platform.
You also need to change the I2C node name in the source code probably.

You might need to ask "how to download and build the source code" to their forum.

I have managed to get a reply from one of the devs on github: https://github.com/pi-top/Device-Management/issues/12. However, I am struggling in getting the various Debian packages to be installed. The primary package pt-device-manager is dependent on wiringpi.

Thus I followed the guide to build and install wiringPi for ODROID-C2.

The build was successful, however it appears not to be installed as I am still getting error in installing pt-device-manager.

Appreciate any help on this. Thank you!
