Can you try to attach another disk like USB stick in EXT4 format if it also has same problem?

We abandoned the EXT3/4 support on Android due to a lot of negative side effects.

But the same disks are working just fine on C1+ android, please re-enable support for C2 too.

We met a lot of permission issues and we couldn't solve that.
Which version of C1 Android image do you use? V2.7?

Thanks for your help but the disk still can't be mounted.

Updated Odroid C1+ to v2.7 and works flawlessly.

Clean v1.6 image, I insert a usb flash ext4 and I get in notification area: Preparing SD Card, checking for errors, after about 30 minutes will mount but as read-only.
Tried with an usb hdd 1Tb ext4 but message with "checking for errors" will stay after 2 hours :(
Both usb are ok on other devices.

Same thing with v1.7 image :( the only difference is the scan for error take a little bit less.
Can anyone else confirm this?

We tested it with USB flash memory which was formatted with EXT4.
We will check the read/write permission issue with an EXT4 formatted HDD.

Edit: It worked well with a Segate HDD.

Segate HDD EXT4 mounted instantly or after initial long scan mounted as rw?

Fresh install v1.8, scanning time is much better:
- usb stick 32GB about 2 minutes which is ok
- usb hdd 1TB about 20 minutes which is better but not ok
I forget to mention, both drives are usb 3.0, may be this an issue?
Can I disable somehow initial scanning?
Which is the command to mount usb drives as rw?
Thanks!

How many files/directories in your USB flash and HDD?
I think our test storage seems to be almost empty.

How long time did you wait on C1 Android for the scanning process?

On hdd are a about 100 media files.
Usb flash is empty and still scanning for 90-120 seconds.
On C1+ mount time is almost instantly like your test disk 2-3 seconds.

I see.
We will put 100~ video/audio files into the HDD and test it.

Update!
We've copied 387 files of movie, music, pictures.
The disk was detected immediately. Can you do chkdsk your HDD on other Linux PC?

I check all my disks multiple times but they mount instantly on C1+ and not on C2 even if are empty drives.
Should be something else, you need a log or something?
