Manual installation of Xposed Framework on C2

Unread post by joerg » Tue May 24, 2016 1:05 am

How to install the Xposed Framework manually.

Download the Xposed Framework for arm and lollipop from here:http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk ... 22-arm.zip
Unzip the Xposed Framework.
Copy the whole folder per drag and drop to 'Internal storage' on C2.
Download the Xposed Installer from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachm ... 1435601440
Then open a shell where you have saved the installer and give this commands:

Code: Select all

adb install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
adb shell
mount -o remount, rw /
mkdir tmp
cp -av sdcard/xposed-v84-sdk22-arm /tmp/
cd tmp/xposed-v84-sdk22-arm
cp -av META-INF/com/google/android/* .
chmod 755 flash-script.sh
./flash-script.sh

Code: Select all

On my system the download of modules is not working. Maybe is needed Fake Wifi Connection because I am on lan. You can download e.g. Fake Wifi Connection from here: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/com.l ... 40d6d2.apk.
Then sideload with adb, start the Fake Wifi Connection and mark Xposed Installer. After that should work download of modules.

I would like to do it on my C2, but I have two questions :
- the C2 is based on ARM64, no ? why do you use the framework arm and not arm64 ? (http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk ... -arm64.zip)

- how do you do to open a shell ? I don't how to do it ? can you give us with all explain to open a shell, please ?

thank you !

The Android Kernel runs in AArch64 mode.
But Android Framework runs in AArch32 mode.

Nope. Some people don't like to use this hacker friendly framework.

I checked it with Xposed Installer, as you can see on the picture. Before I could't download modules, and after I was able to download modules.
Which app you are trying?

Have you checked if the app connects if you have real wifi?
If yes, and with Fake Wifi not connecting, you could contact the developer of Fake Wifi. Maybe Orange TV app is checking on a different way if there is wifi. Also it could be helpful if you look at the log during it tries the connection.

I have checked with a tablet and the app works. I don't have wifi dongle to test on C2 so I don't check on the C2 directly...

How to do to have the log during it tries the connection ?

thank you

Do you have to use adb or can you do this from an android terminal emulator

You can do this also from terminal emulator. The installation of the app can be done by filemanager, if it is on the fat partition.

thank you for your answer

so, if I understand well, I install terminal emulator for Android since google play on my C2. I open this app on C2 and then I launch the Orange TV app.
And normally, in the terminal emulator, I can look directly the log during it tries the connection; or I shall write something in the emulator to look the log ?

thank you.

@telecofr
Oh, this answer was for unclewilly6988's question.
You should give command 'adb shell logcat' from your host pc. But you can also give the command 'logcat' from terminal emulator. Can be that you need to give the command 'su' before in the terminal emulator, to get root.
I recommend to make over adb, you'll have all the log on your host and you can copy it easily.

The same comands as I posted above. In terminal emulator give a 'su' first, to get root.

hi joerg,
I try another app (asphalt 8 airborne) on my C2 : after the app installed, I launch the app but the app don't download the full game because the wifi don't work.
So I go to Xposed, modules, fake wifi connection (which is cheched) and I check Asphalt 8.
I save and I return to launch the app and it doesn't work : the app want a wifi connection....

Can you try this app on your C2 with the fake wifi connection module, please ?

thank you for your help...

No, it's the same for me. The app scans for a real existing wifi connection. Need to contact the developer. They should know that devices like Odroid exists that have ethernet connection.
I tried also with a wifi connection, then there is message: The game requires additional data (959MB) to run on your device. Do you want to launch the download now?
But I stopped here.

Why two folders? As you unzip the framework you have a folder 'xposed-v84-sdk22-arm' with sub folders 'META-INF' and 'system'. Copy the 'xposed-v84-sdk22-arm' to the /sdcard folder of C2. It doesn't matter if you use ftp, or drag'n'drop with filemanager. Important is that you copy the folder with all included files.
To copy first to the /sdcard is the easiest way to copy it to C2. Later if you follow my instruction you copy whole folder to root /tmp folder.

With latest version of Xposed Installer 3.11https://forum.xda-developers.com/attach ... 1477916609, the installation works out of the box, not needed anymore the manual installation process. Tested on C2 Marshmallow.
