Try using a generic 1080p display instead of the small display to narrow down root causes.
Also check if your PSU can supply 5V/2A stably or not.
The self-installation process might take up to 10 minutes in the first booting time.
You have to wait patiently.
BTW, did you use Etcher for flashing the OS image?

That is the screen that comes out when recovery fails.

Yes, i used etcher to flash the os.
And since i don't have the generic 1080p tv so that's why i am using small lcd screen.

I'll try to use another adapter.

Flash this 5.1.1 v4.0 image first.
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-c2/os_im ... droid/v4.0

If your small display has 800x480 or 1024x600 native resolution, edit the boot.ini file manually.
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-c2/os_im ... ce_bootini
Something like setenv hdmimode "800x480p60hz" or setenv hdmimode "1024x600p60hz"

For ubuntu and armbian, they stucks at black screen.
For lakka it shows a mount error like below.

Code: Select all

*** Error in mount_flash: mount_common: Could not mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 ***
### Starting debugging shell... type exit to quit ###
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

my sdcard works fine in my windows laptop.
and i've tried to erase sectors of the sdcard. but didn't work

should i change my sdcard?

Did you flash this latest Ubuntu OS image? Don't extract the xz file if you use Etcher.

We don't work weekend and there was no reply.

Anyway, do you still can't find a native 1080p monitor or TV?
Do you have another UHS-1 grade micro-SD card? The recovery log seems to be saying that the SD card is not compatible.

If you bought the board in Korea, send it to our office.
We will check possible root causes like board itself, SD card, power supply and so on.

I see. But it is really hard to find a root cause remotely.

Anyway, let's try to find a clue.
Do you have a DMM?
If yes, measure the voltage on 5.0V rail on the 40pin GPIO header.
Image
It must be stable at 4.8Volt at least in the booting process.

If it is stable at 4.8Volt at least in the booting process, the power source and cables must be fine.
If you observe 4.0V~4.8V randomly, your PSU or power cable might cause uncertain problems.

If the voltage is always higher than 4.8Volt, there must be other issues.
We need to investigate your board in our lab to find what's wrong.
But you told me you can't send us the board. right?

Since it is not possible to investigate the board remotely, I ran out of idea too.

Meanwhile, try this different OS image with a 1080p monitor to find other possible clues.
