[ODROID-C2 minimal image issue] duplicate entry in fstab

Unread post by g000444555 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 8:36 pm

Hi,

The ubuntu64-16.04-minimal-odroid-c2-20160815 image has the following /etc/fstab:

Code: Select all

# UNCONFIGURED FSTAB FOR BASE SYSTEM
LABEL=boot /media/boot vfat defaults 0 0
UUID=e139ce78-9841-40fe-8823-96a304a09859 / ext4 defaults 0 0

UUID=e139ce78-9841-40fe-8823-96a304a09859 / ext4 errors=remount-ro,noatime 0 1
As can be observed in the above fstab, there is a duplicate entry for the partition UUID=e139ce78-9841-40fe-8823-96a304a09859, which results in the following warning

Code: Select all

# dmesg | grep fstab
[ 6.187332] systemd-fstab-generator[999]: Failed to create mount unit file /run/systemd/generator/-.mount, as it already exists. Duplicate entry in /etc/fstab?
[    6.349714] systemd[998]: /lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-fstab-generator failed with error code 1.
Although the issue appears to be a warning, I'm not sure whether it could have more severe side effects as well.

Therefore, I would advise to fix it.

Thank you

You can either ignore it, as there will be no side effects or remove the _FIRST_ entry
