Count missed frames when capturing images using oCam 5MP USB

Unread postby minhntu » Mon Apr 10, 2017 12:29 pm

Hi everyone,
I am interfacing between Odroid XU4 and oCam 5MP USB 3.0 and I want to capture serial frames. Do you know how to count missed frames when capturing images? Whether we can check this thing when working with oCam 5MP USB 3.0?
Another, I see that Example code for oCAM 5MP USB 3.0 requires 2.4.11 OpenCV library version. Whether can I use oCam camera with another OpenCV version (examples 3.2.0 OpenCV version)?
Thank you very much for your help

We are sorry but it is hard to count the missed frames.

Regarding 3.2.0 OpenCV version, oCam cameras should work as it uses UVC interface.
We will check it and let you know if we encounter any problem.

Although it is difficult, but do you have any ideas to check it?. When I run 'Open-basic_5CRO" using OpenCV 2.4.11 version. It ran ok. But when I use OpenCV 3.2.0 version (latest version). It cannot work.I wait for information from you.

We have checked the compatibility between oCam-5CRO-U and OpenCV 3.2.0 running on ODROID-XU4, and confirmed that there is no problem.

If you let us know more details about the problem you encountered, we can investigate further.

Did you change sometime in when link Path to OpenCV 3.2.0 library or change some where in source code, Attached images are some error I met when using OpenCV3.2.0 on qt creator. When I debug code. It show problem here " while (running) if (capture.read(image)) ". Beside, when I run using "Make all" command. It showed error as below. I have been trying to remove -lopencv_nonfree in "makefile" But it still not work.

You may refer the attached “Makefile” which we used for the test the oCam-5CRO-U.
