Сreation boot drive miniSD with Lubuntu on Kubuntu 14.04

Unread postby tagezi » Fri May 22, 2015 4:33 am

I have a laptop Asus-K53E with processor i5, RAM 4Gb and video-card Intel.
My OS is Kubuntu 14.04.
Code: Select all
lera@infineco:~$ uname -ormv
3.13.0-53-generic #89-Ubuntu SMP Wed May 20 10:34:28 UTC 2015 i686 GNU/Linux
lera@infineco:~$ lsb_release -dc
Description:    Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Codename:       trusty

I tried to create a boot drive on miniSD (ScanDisk Extreme) with lubuntu 14.04.2 for my Odroid C1.
I downloaded image with the mirror site Germani (http://de.eu.odroid.in/ubuntu_14.04lts/) and unzipped the archive.
Code: Select all
lera@infineco:~$ sudo -i
[sudo] password for lera:

root@infineco:~# fdisk -l

But, when I tried to boot it on my Odroid C1, I saw the following picture (see attachment). Booting the system has not continued further.

I'll be grateful for any ideas. Thank you in advance.

@tagezi,
Would you try to install with other card once? Since the kernel message shows bad block.
Or try to flash again into your MicroSD.

Thank you tobetter.
It is strange. This card and this image are created well in Windows 7 with the help of the program Win32DiskImager. But I have not instant access to Win7 and my basic OS is Linux.
I will check badblock on this card.
Maybe I need the card-reader driver for recording this image on miniSDHC?

Card-reader driver on Linux? I don't think so. :)
And if you are familiar with resize2fs, try to resize the partition of Linux of your MicroSD from desktop before starting C1 with the card.
