Hi all,

I made a fork of LibreELEC 9 to get Kodi 18 Leia working on my beloved ODROID C1+ and decided to share my build with you, just in case anyone else failed getting Widevine DRM copy-protected content (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Zattoo, waipu.tv, Spotify, etc.) to play on wrxtasy's LibreELEC build.
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or bug reports, don't hold them back.

The default ssh root password is "lisertv".

Main changes to the LibreELEC build system:
- custom kernel (based on Hardkernel's odroidc-3.10.y branch)
- custom u-boot (Hardkernel wiki)
- mali r6p2 userspace libraries (same as in Hardkernel's Ubuntu image)
- re-added libamcodec support for hardware decoding in Kodi

No, sorry for not pointing that out.
Liser is just one of the nicknames of my stepsister Lisa and I originally made the image for her, that's why I named it after her.

just copied it onto my odroid c1 and works like a charm.

btw. does the boot.ini for the c1 support overscan settings? if so, is there a reference how to apply these?

Overscan can't be configured in boot.ini, but can be adjusted in Kodi itself.

Anyways, at first I would try to disable overscan in the settings of the TV. Some TVs require you to configure the HDMI port as a "PC" or "video game" port in order to disable overscan (have a look at the manual of your TV). Please also check the aspect ratio setting of your TV as well.

As a very last measure you can always calibrate the virtual screen size in Kodi (Settings / System / Display / Video calibration). The settings level should be set to "Expert", otherwise this option will not be visible to you.

Thanks I was considering what to do with my Odroid C1. Now it looks like it will be more than a papper weight

I tired android and Kodi. and the various other distros. Kept going in circles and wasting time.


Looking into how to compile linux and go down that route.
Putting a thread on reddit and letting people decide.

Possibly ranting about it on youtube the pros and cons
then the second video lets subs describe whats going to happen to the board.

How did you build / get the graphics drivers?

Yay! One more Odroid C1 is celebrating its revival!
The graphics driver consist of the kernel module and the closed source userspace libraries provided by Hardkernel. Feel free to browse my repositories on GitHub.

Will this build have hifi-shield support?

I still use my old C1+ with hifi-shield for listening music and serving as files server. It's working fine with Volumio firmware. But Kodi will be my first choice if hifi-shield can be used with it.

Hello, thanks to this thread I just realized I had one Odroid C1+ that I never used (shame). I downloaded and burnt the image using both, Etcher and Rufus, to no avail. I also downloaded the Ubuntu image from the HardKernel website, and it works fine (although due to some strange reason I do not get any HDMI output, but I can ssh and configure things with no issue).
I wonder whether I am missing any silly step, as I also tried older versions listed here, but the unit seems to boot, blinks blue LED for five or six seconds and then nothing...
Does anyone have any prior experience on this issue? Thank you!
