C1 linux-image-c1 unstable keyboard

Unread postby handyj » Thu Aug 10, 2017 2:42 pm

I've re-imaged my mmcblk device 2 times now and doing it a third. Every time I upgrade to the latest .189 kernel for Ubuntu 16.04, my keyboard becomes unstable. Keys begin repeating like I'm mashing down whatever key is repeating. There is no predictability to this. The first time I had this happen I found some bad blocks on my mmc card so I reloaded the card.
Each time I re-install, I follow the same exact procedure.
1 )Use etcher-electron to build the image.
2) boot the image
3) connect to wireless
4) root passwd, changed odroid password.
5) wait for auto update process to finish then run apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade.

Everything runs fine until I try the apt-get install linux-image-c1 or update with the re-installed odroid-utility scripts.

I only had the bad mmc blocks the first time.

Keyboard is HP KU-0316. Mouse is Microsoft wheel mouse optical. lsb_release -irc tells me it's Ubuntu, 16.04, xenial.

I'm going to update/upgrade one more time but this time I'm not going to upgrade the image.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Is there a resolution? I can't seem to find anything on the forum.

Try to change the CPU governor to "performance" mode.
Refer this thread too.

Thanks, that worked. I also found the option to make this persistent in /etc/init.d/cpufrequtils.
