Thank you for the links.
I've changed the thread STICKY. I hope some kernel guru can check the VXLAN and IPVLAN driver issue.

I am having problems with my nas drives which were ext4 formatted on a 4.4 kernel throwing journal errors and being unmountable. Any chance of getting a more modern kernel, or at least updated ext4 support somehow?

Have you tried official Kernel 3.10 instead of Kernel 4.4 which is not supported?

Sorry I wasn't clear: my archive drives were formatted ext4 on my main linux system using a 4.4 kernel. When I attempt to mount them on the Odroid I get this error:
sudo mount -a
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so.
dan@odroid:~$ dmesg | tail
[ 7860.291982] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] 3907029168 512-byte logical blocks: (2.00 TB/1.81 TiB)

[ 7860.292850] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 43 00 00 00
[ 7860.293582] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA

[ 7860.350504] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk
[ 7980.879644] force enable DISCARD here for ext4 fs
[ 7981.032897] JBD2: Unrecognised features on journal
[ 7981.032911] EXT4-fs (sda1): error loading journal

I presume this is due to differences in the kernel handling of the file system.

I see a request to have the DRBD module included ... did anything come of that request?
I still don't see it available with my latest kernel on my XU4

...CONFIG_BLK_DEV_DRBD=m

Kernel version -129 and forward will have it enabled :)

drbd.ko appeared, and is still present in ubuntu-16.04-mate-odroid-xu4-20170731.img, thanks, but it seems to be missing in ubuntu-16.04.2-mate-odroid-xu4-20170510.img, (i.e. the V4 kernel).
Can we get it added to the V4 series kernels too please.
