c2play-x11 with xscreensaver?

Unread post by meglome » Sat May 18, 2019 8:10 am

As it says I'm looking to get the c2play-x11 working with xscreensaver.

For mplayer you can add the lines below to the programs section of the ~/.xscreensaver file.
"My Movies" mplayer -shuffle -nosound -really-quiet \
-nolirc -nostop-xscreensaver -wid \
$XSCREENSAVER_WINDOW -fs -loop 0 \
$HOME/Path/to/my/movies/* \n\

Anyone know what will work for c2play-x11 or will it work?

Thanks

Really any video player and/or screensaver that I can use to play a video as the screensaver.

Seem to recall that mplayer worked on the original c1.

Thoughts anyone?

Does anyone know any way to run a video as a screensaver on the c1+ 18.04?

Must be some way to do it.

you can probably run a script that does work as a screensaver..

There are a couple of guides on google that explain different ways to run a script in such a way.
